Cara Jaye lives in Washington State and teaches at Western Washington University (WWU) in Bellingham, WA . She came to WWU in the fall of 1997, after spending three years teaching full time at West Virginia University. Jaye is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art, where she teaches all levels of drawing, studio foundations, photography, alternative photographic techniques, and senior seminar. Jaye received her MFA in 1993 from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her BFA in 1988 from Parsons School of Design in New York City. Jaye also studied lithography at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris France, and was a recent visiting artist lecturer at the University of Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico during the winter and spring of 2004. Cara Jaye's work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and has been reviewed in the New Art Examiner and Art Papers, along with many national newspapers.
